Cape Road Race

The cycle race is a road race which takes in some of Cape Towns most scenic views along the False Bay coast, Cape Point road and the infamous Chapmans Peak.

Whilst it can be a pain with multiple road closures which can mean it is difficult to get to the beach or other attractions – most Capetonians have learnt to embrace and celebrate the cycle tour. For example, a few of the shops along Muizenberg main road turn up the music and put out stands with food and drinks for those watching the race – a real community atmosphere.
